Mary Edna Fraser documents the warming global world in batiks on silk through her series, Our Expanding Oceans. Her work is on display at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences through November 6, 2011. Many batiks are featured in the upcoming Duke University Press publication, Global Climate Change: A Primer by Orrin and Keith Pilkey.
