HIV
Glass blower Luke Jerram was curious about how significantly our interpretations of familiar viruses and pathogens have been impacted by the detailed color drawings that are usually utilized to shape our understanding. So he took a shot at reinterpreting them with a medium he was most comfortable - blown glass. Working with virologists from the University of Bristol, Jerram’s delicate models of Swine Flu, HIV, E. Coli and small pox, for starters, are about 1,000,000 times the size of the virus itself.
