Erica Williams

Erica Williams is a Washington, D.C.-based activist and commentator who works to encourage the Millennial generation—today’s 18-27 year olds—and other underrepresented communities to take part in the political process.

She currently serves as the Deputy Director of Campus Progress, a project of the Center for American Progress. Before joining Campus Progress, she served as a field associate at the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, where she worked with some of Washington’s most powerful players in progressive politics to advance effective civil and human rights legislation at the federal level.

Williams has coordinated campaigns around judicial nominations, affirmative action, and the successful reauthorization of the Voting Rights Act. She has also worked hard to win voting rights for D.C. She has appeared on Fox News, C-SPAN, The Tavis Smiley Show, The Armstrong Williams Show, and Politico.com has named her one of the Top 50 Politicos to Watch.
