Michael Brown

With 25 years of experience in environmental management, Michael Brown is a top environmental consultant. In 2006 he co-founded Brown and Wilmanns Environmental, LLC, a consulting firm that provides strategic and technical environmental services to a diverse set of clients from manufacturers and retailers to public agencies and nonprofit organizations. Prior to launching Brown and Wilmanns Environmental, Brown established the Environmental Assessment Program at Patagonia and oversaw environmental programs in a division of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Management and at the City of Irvine in Southern California. He has an undergraduate degree from UC Santa Cruz and Masters and Ph.D. degrees from Cornell University. Brown has published a wide range of articles on environmental issues and serves as the Case Studies Editor for the Journal of Industrial Ecology.
