Jacobo Quintanilla works with Internews supporting local media to enable people in the midst of disasters to access the information they need and to take an active role in their own survival and recovery. As Director of Humanitarian Information Projects, Jacobo has helped create a two-way dialogue between affected communities and aid organizations in countries such as Haiti, Sri Lanka and Central African Republic. Building on Internews' core mission, Quintanilla's projects empower local media in crisis situations to give people the news and information they need, the ability to connect, and the means to make their voices heard.
