I had searched you tube and everywhere else "Now what was his name again?" I couldn’t remember. And now the Universe has gratuitously placed it in my lap again. And I am grateful. This is worth watching in its entirety over and over again. But don’t just watch it; use it. Give an "A" to everyone you meet. Spread the word; it’s worth it!

A friend had sent this to me a couple years ago. I was so moved by it, his style, his authenticity, his message that I later wanted to share it with others but I couldn’t find it. I had lost it and felt crushed and frustrated.
I am so happy that this is still available to view! I teach piano and I love my work! When this video was sent to me by a cellist friend about two years ago I sent it on to my teenage and adult students and they loved it, too. Every human being should have the chance to see and hear Benjamin Zander’s attitude to life, not just the musicians among us. I am so glad that I can send this video now to those of my students who were not with me when I first got it. Thank you, Pop Tech, for keeping this where it can be seen.

Bravo Maestro, that was a KO for inspiration versus achievement.

The world needs soo much of this type of teaching, life education, rather than force fed information to go out and get a job and pay mortgages and taxes until we die. Then we wonder why it wasn’t satisfying, why it wasn’t fulfilling and experience regret and feel duped that life didn’t live up its expectations, its promise. An inspired life allows us to be grateful and live in the field of possibilities with infinite resources, hopefully when death calls we can answer gracefully.
Benjamin Zander’s transformation of this young cellist moves me to tears! It’s a must for every music student, every music teacher, and every person who loves life or wants to! Thank you for making it available.
