It’s sad that such an excellent video by an accomplished academic is accompanied by a comment from someone trying to deny climate change with a link to a crackpot site. On climate change, you can either trust the global community of climate researchers, with their multiple converging lines of evidence, or a bunch of pundits and bloggers who keep repeating discredited arguments. Gilbert’s explanation as to why Americans ignore global warming, despite the scientific proof, is excellent. I can see why many people don’t notice climate change b/c it is a slow process (for humans, not for the Earth). However, what is most worrying are the folks who DO notice but choose to deny that global warming is happening or try to explain it away with cooked up theories like sun spots. How does one explain that?
