Great talk; very informative; and I’m totally into the rise of constantly newly fascinated ADD multitaskers. This is our era! (Plus anyone who extols the virtues of video games is a winner in my book)

Very interesting. However, I disagree with one part: Not everyone has access to the "printing press" i.e. digital media tools. Even in San Francisco, where I live, there are many people who do not know how to use email and craigslist, let alone blogging SaaS software etc. Digital exclusion due to economic circumstances is a major issue. So, no, we do not all have access. Many voices are being excluded.

Charles, give it time :-) We’re less than one generation into the Internet. Consider it took 3 generations before most of the world embraced telephones (>5B phones in use today). Moore’s law assures that virtual communication will soon be a part of everyday life for all but the poorest.

I love hearing people refute the nay-sayers about the negative impact of technology. We are in the midst of some fascinating changes. Thanks for sharing your ideas and insights. I will use your video in my beginning of the year discussion starters with my high schoolers in August. Great.

Bilton’s insights are fascinating indeed! Excellent peep into the future, which – as far as technology – is already hear, or maybe is already yesterday’s news, as technology is constantly ahead of us. What we’re using today and all our brand experience with it is just what’s available commercially. And more exciting things are to come. Kudos to Bilton for making us aware of them. And on ADD… BRAVO!!! I’ve got it too!! ciaoo, dian – san diego
