Science entrepreneur Hayat Sindi teams up with the Coastal Studies for Girls, the only all girls residential science high school in the country, to share her career experiences with students. Through hands-on experimentation and discussion, Hayat will also share how programmable genes and everyday tools might revolutionize medical care — and society.
Making Art with Code
Join pioneering digital artist Zach Lieberman at EYEBEAM for Art and Science Saturday. Zach will reveals how he uses computer code to explore new modes of expression, creating a 3-D face scanner and a device that allows artists to draw with their eyes. RSVP →

Veggie Power
Local students will join Will Allen, a former professional basketball player-turned-urban farmer, to explore the science behind producing healthy food in cities. Students will also learn some of innovative methods that make it possible to grow produce year-round.
Game On!
Game designer Katie Salen invites a select group of students to experience her amazing motion capture lab, known as the Situated Multimedia Art Learning Lab (SMALLab), where participants use their bodies as well as infrared sensors and room-sized digital projections to interact with games.
