Dan Barasch
Vice President, Strategic PartnershipsDan oversees PopTech's corporate, media, and pro bono partnerships, helping draw diverse innovators from across sectors into the PopTech community. His background spans the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors, with prior roles at Google, UNICEF, the 9/11 Survivors' Fund, the World Affairs Council, and New York City government. Outside of PopTech, Dan is leading a project to turn an abandoned subway station into an underground community park.
Beth Cohen
Director of Media ProductionAs Director of Media Production at PopTech, Beth Cohen is focused on expanding the reach of PopTech’s people, projects and ideas through storytelling. Beth's career has been focused on the intersection of media and international development, and she's produced videos and conducted video production trainings around the world. She has a master’s degree in communication from Stanford University and was on the Faculty and MFA Committee at the Maine Media Workshops before joining PopTech 5 years ago.

Web DesignerAs PopTech's web designer, Andy oversees the visual aspects of day-to-day production as well continuing to help build PopTech's image on the web and elsewhere.

Operations ManagerJanet Giovanniello is responsible for the accounting, HR and operations functions at PopTech. As an accounting and finance professional and within her previous management positions at Comcast, Janet has extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, performance reporting, project management and business operations. Just prior to joining PopTech, Janet owned her own pilates studio business.
Keryn Gottshalk
ProducerA former professional ballet dancer, Montessori guide, marketing director and survivor of a hippie childhood, Keryn Gottshalk puts her diverse talents to work as PopTech's Producer. In her current role, she tackles everything from soup-to-nuts event production to the careful crafting of PopTech's participant experience.

Director of TechnologyAs Director of Technology, Louis oversees PopTech's technology and online infrastructure. Louis brings to PopTech over 15 years of experience in systems and programming at various Bay Area projects and organizations. His background also spans foreign languages, music, painting and writing — all of which he has less time to do with each passing day.

Senior Research AssociateAs Senior Research Associate, Kiley is involved in a variety of projects at PopTech — from helping with conference curation to developing new initiatives to authoring the occasional blog post. An avid traveler with a background in film and television production, Kiley has an eclectic and far-ranging set of interests which serves him well as the organization's lead researcher.

Marketing/Communications AssociateAs Marketing/Communications Associate, Becky focuses on sharing PopTech's initiatives with broader audiences. She helps to shape and tell PopTech stories across various mediums — press, social media, and media partnerships. Prior to PopTech, she was a senior account executive at GolinHarris where she supported major technology, pharmaceutical, and insurance companies with marketing, public relations and event planning.

Online ProducerAs PopTech's online producer, Emily Qualey works closely with the organization's editorial, marketing and web teams. She curates the PopTech Tumblr and is responsible for carrying out various forms of social engagement and website-related nuts and bolts.

Editor-in-ChiefEmily Spivack is the editor-in-chief of PopTech, where she oversees, produces, and curates PopTech’s online content. Emily's background spans social innovation, culture and fashion. She is the editor of Sentimental Value, an online collection of anecdotes people tell about clothing in eBay posts and Worn Stories, a collection of stories about clothing and memory and she founded Shop Well with You, a body-image resource for women with cancer.

Program ManagerOllie Wilder is program manager for PopTech's Social Innovation and Science and Public Leadership Fellows Programs. He has substantial experience in organizational management and international development, having directed the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, managed philanthropic programs for the Institute for Global Ethics, and directed programs in Africa for Save the Children and the Peace Corps.
