Junko Carter

Director of Collaborative Engagements

As Director of Collaborative Engagements, Junko facilitates unique partnership opportunities that unite the collaborative spirit of PopTech and the cutting edge work of our sponsors and funders. Previously, she served as a Director of Strategic Alliances at Rhode Island School of Design, and a Sponsor Liaison at MIT Media Lab.

Beth Cohen

Director of Media

As Director of Media at PopTech, Beth Cohen is focused on expanding the reach of PopTech’s people, projects and ideas through storytelling. Beth's career has been focused on the intersection of media and international development, and she's produced videos and conducted video production trainings around the world. She has a master’s degree in communication from Stanford University and was on the Faculty and MFA Committee at the Maine Media Workshops before joining PopTech 5 years ago.

Leetha Filderman

President

Leetha Filderman serves as PopTech's President and is a principal architect of PopTech's initiatives, which support cross-sector collaborative projects and train promising innovators and scientists through the Social Innovation and Science Fellows programs. In the 1980s and 90s she developed a number of initiatives that opened access to state-of-the art care for the urban poor suffering from HIV/AIDS, serving as the Administrative Director of the Yale-New Haven Hospital AIDS Program and Research Liaison for the Boston City Hospital AIDS Research Program. Leetha has a deep and diverse background in innovative program design, and she has advised and served on the boards of numerous organizations and agencies.

Louis Juska

Director of Technology

As Director of Technology, Louis oversees PopTech's technology and online infrastructure. Louis brings to PopTech over 15 years of experience in systems and programming at various Bay Area projects and organizations. His background also spans foreign languages, music, painting and writing — all of which he has less time to do with each passing day.

Colleen Lafferty

Senior Experience Coordinator

As Senior Experience Coordinator, Colleen Lafferty manages every aspect of our participants' PopTech experience, from their welcome to helping them get the most out of each event. Colleen has a background in public relations, advertising, special events and education. She came to Maine on a month-long vacation and never left.

Kiley Lambert

Senior Producer

As Senior Producer, Kiley oversees the stage production of PopTech's annual conference and also assists in other programming efforts throughout the year. Kiley has a background in film and television production, and was PopTech's senior researcher for 3 years.

Becky Sennett

Director of Communications

As Director of Communications, Becky helps to guide the articulation of PopTech's mission across the website, social media, PR and the annual conference. She identifies opportunities to engage the PopTech network in different ways and works to bring new members into the fold. She has an agency background in public relations and program management for large corporate and consumer clients. Her interests include cooking, DJing and catching up on TV series most people watched long ago (i.e. The Wire).

Andrew Zolli

Sabbatical year 2014

Andrew Zolli is a futures researcher who studies the complex forces at the intersection of technology, sustainability and global society that are shaping our future. He has served as a Fellow of the National Geographic Society, and his work and ideas regularly appear in dozens of leading publications and media outlets. Andrew's book Resilience: Why Things Bounce Back was published in 2012 by Free Press.
