Beth Cohen

Director of Media

As Director of Media at PopTech, Beth Cohen is focused on expanding the reach of PopTech’s people, projects and ideas through storytelling. Beth's career has been focused on the intersection of media and international development, and she's produced videos and conducted video production trainings around the world. She has a master’s degree in communication from Stanford University and was on the Faculty and MFA Committee at the Maine Media Workshops before joining PopTech 5 years ago.

Leetha Filderman


Leetha Filderman serves as PopTech's President/COO and is a principal architect of PopTech's initiatives, which support cross-sector collaborative projects and train promising innovators and scientists through the Social Innovation and Science Fellows programs. In the 1980s and 90s she developed a number of initiatives that opened access to state-of-the art care for the urban poor suffering from HIV/AIDS, serving as the Administrative Director of the Yale-New Haven Hospital AIDS Program and Research Liaison for the Boston City Hospital AIDS Research Program. Leetha has a deep and diverse background in innovative program design, and she has advised and served on the boards of numerous organizations and agencies.

Louis Juska

Director of Technology

As Director of Technology, Louis oversees PopTech's technology and online infrastructure. Louis brings to PopTech over 15 years of experience in systems and programming at various Bay Area projects and organizations. His background also spans foreign languages, music, painting and writing — all of which he has less time to do with each passing day.

Solomon Prakash

Managing Partner, Global Expansion

Solomon Prakash serves as managing partner, driving global expansion initiatives of PopTech. He brings two decades of experience as a social entrepreneur and as a person delighted to work with innovators and thought leaders in science, technology, social change and governance. He was the country head of Ashoka in India and part of the Global leadership team of Ashoka, based in Washington DC, for three years. In the early 90s to early 2000, he founded non-profits that work with children and with public school reforms in India. Since 2002 he has started several social enterprises and for profit companies in the service sector and manufacturing. He has a keen interest in apply technology to solve social problems.

Becky Sennett

Director of Communications

Becky leads communications and storytelling efforts to PopTech's global community. She has an agency background in PR and program management for corporate and consumer clients. Her interests include cooking, DJing and catching up on TV series most people watched long ago (i.e. The Wire).
